God’s Godness In The New Testament

Matthew 6:26-30 – Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will He not much more clothe you—you of little faith?

Matthew 7:11 – If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask Him!

Mark 10:18 – And Jesus said to him, ‘Why do you call Me good? No one is good except God alone.’

Luke 6:35 – But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return, and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, for He is kind to the ungrateful and the evil.

Luke 11:13 – If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!

John 3:16 – For God so loved the world, that He gave his only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.

John 10:10 – The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.

John 10:11-15 – I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. The hired hand is not the shepherd and does not own the sheep. So when he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away…because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep. I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and My sheep know Me — just as the Father knows Me and I know the Father—and I lay down My life for the sheep.

Acts 10:38 – How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.

Acts 14:17 – Nevertheless He did not leave Himself without witness, in that He did good, gave us rain from heaven and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.

And He has committed to us the message of reconciliation.

I Timothy 2:3-4 – This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Titus 3:4-7 – But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy.
